Ode to Flip-Turn (Cont'd)

Flip-Turn looked rather content to have his tank clean. It seemed as if I had never seen his tank so clear before in my memory, because it had been at least a month since I had properly changed his water. He was content to relax, not having to force himself to the surface to gulp air because the concentration of oxygen was so high in the cool, pure water. Nor were his gill slits inflamed in red, denoting increased blood flow, in an attempt to get more gas exchange going. I had the pleasure of observing him in clean water once more. He had little projections on his nose, on either side of his head, which made him look like he had tiny spectacles on at some angles. Likewise, his eyes had the ability of moving seperately from each other, like a chameleon, which happened whenever he opened his mouth in a peculiar fashion. And his eyes... with no irises, they were like seemingly empty pits. He had five ventral fins which he used to brake, or back up. And all the time he shimmered like a new penny, but with more of a yellow tinge.
