I think this longing to be buoyant again is causing me to daydream in even weirder ways. I listen to music all the time. I do this because in boredom I have a lot of daydreams that require a good soundtrack. In the absence of music there is nothing except reality--which is still as boring as it was twenty minutes or twenty years ago (for example, the parking lot I have to walk across to get to class multiple times a day will never be pleasing). Absolute silence is quite terrifying, which is why in absolute silence, I usually just whistle.
Requiring a good soundtrack is why I really like dubstep. There's something about dubstep that makes me see dramatic movements--like back flips, parkour, fight/chase scenes, etcetera. This is why I love dubstep. It's always exciting, like if you mixed the best electronic with the best metal.
Today when I was walking home I was listening to Nero's "Me and You"and it seemed appropriate to day dream, rather specifically, of flying around an asteroid field with a sledgehammer in hand.
But wait! There's more! Usually daydreams are very simplistic, without any complicated choreography. Except today I could see myself swimming around stuff... in space. With a sledgehammer. It was like junior year of high school all over again, when I fantasized about fighting with a sledgehammer while swimming laps in the pool.
This is super random. But I really miss swimming. Exercising on land is boring.
I also wish I was a fighter pilot.
