An interesting study found that time passes more quickly when you find yourself doing the same things over and over again. Excitement is what makes things seem to last forever. This is why time seems to fly when you're old, because nothing is really new to you anymore. There are fewer new experiences for you to have... because you're so experienced. I think that can explain why the last two weeks I've spent alive have seemed to go by horrifically quickly. Wake up at noon. Watch television. Sew. Play Atom Zombie Smasher. Eat a few meals. Drive around for about thirty minutes. Go to sleep at two in the morning. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Sometimes I go into the city, but even then... snooze fest. Can summer's be too relaxing?
This also explains why once I stopped swimming I noticed there was a lot more time in days. A lot more time that I can now waste playing Atom Zombie Smasher.
