June 2011, Blank Notes has Big News

Meanwhile, deep underground, far outside the city....

I'm turning my blog into a travel blog. It will be a captivating, experimental time when I'm sure I'll discover that driving thousands of miles is less romantic than one would hope for. Regardless, it should be a fun time. I will be hitting all the following general locations:
  • central New York
    • colgate university, writing conference, adirondacks...
  • southern Maine
    • colby reunion, older sister's residence, 2nd favorite American state...
  • northern Massachusetts
    • friends, food, bad driving...
  • eastern Pennsylvania
    • friends, better food, Appalachian trail, 4th favorite American state...
I will also be attempting to journal everyday, take a lot of photos, visit some national parks (did you know I've never been to the Adirondacks?), spend a lot of time driving alone, and accessing the internet through McDonald's. Certainly, it will be an exciting time for both myself and my blog. My car will also probably be very excited, as well. More than anything, I am excited by the promise of using cool gadgets:
  • Sirius XM radio
  • Garmin GPS
  • Power Converter
  • IN-CAR Coffee MACHINE*
Anyway, I officially leave on June 2nd. I'm in Colorado right now, so it feels like I'm already traveling. Unfortunately, I don't have a journal, my nice camera, my car, or anything to write about in particular. Colorado's amazing though. It's definitely in my top 10 list.
  1. Illinois
  2. Maine
  3. California
  4. Pennsylvania
  5. Washington
  6. Colorado
  7. Hawaii
  8. Wisconsin
  9. New Jersey
  10. New York
Fascinating. That required a lot more thought than I thought. Certainly more thought than my favorite Star Wars movies, which is unarguably the following:
  1. Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
  2. Episode IV: A New Hope
  3. Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
  4. Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
  5. Episode I: The Phantom Menace
  6. Star Wars: The Clone Wars
  7. Episode II: Attack of the Clones**
It's going to be a great month. Get excited.

*I'm really excited about this possibility.
**Yes, Star Wars: The Clone Wars isn't actually an "episode." But AOTC is probably the worst display of writing, acting, and directing I have ever seen in a movie that made so much money at the box office.
